Agile coach or automation consultant? What if you didn’t have to choose…

Introduction: Two hats, one mission

For years, I’ve helped teams collaborate better, structure their work, and deliver faster. I’ve worked (and still work) as an agile coach, manager, and operational efficiency consultant.

Nothing unusual so far.

But in recent months, a new reality has become clear: applied AI and automation have become essential allies — especially for SMEs.

Not to replace people. But to give them back their time, their clarity… and their brainpower.

From human collaboration to augmented collaboration

Working better doesn’t always mean working faster. And certainly not doing everything manually.

Across many missions, I’ve seen that what blocks performance isn’t people — it’s:

  • Repetitive tasks that consume time without value,
  • Manual project or client follow-up,
  • Excel spreadsheets updated by hand every week,
  • Poorly integrated tools that slow the information flow.

🎯 That’s where automation becomes an immediate operational lever.

Concrete example in an agile context: the augmented retrospective

Before each retrospective, I now automate the sending of an anonymous questionnaire.

👉 The answers are analyzed by an AI (like GPT) that:

  • Detects weak signals,
  • Synthesizes feedback,
  • Produces a clear report with priority focus areas.

On the day of the retro, the team starts with a shared and structured view.

✅ Less noise,
✅ More depth,
✅ A discussion based on real issues — not just what’s top of mind.

It’s not about dehumanizing. It’s about freeing time for what truly matters.

Tangible benefits for SMEs — far beyond agile

In upcoming posts, I’ll share other real-world examples:

  • Automated sales follow-up,
  • Client email or proposal generation,
  • Feedback and survey analysis,
  • Automatic reports and dashboards.

These “simple home-grown automations” can be deployed fast and have an immediate impact:

✅ Less mental load,
✅ Fewer errors or drop-offs,
✅ Less wasted time on admin and tracking.

And in return:

✅ More clarity,
✅ More responsiveness,
✅ More space for strategy and human connection.

I don’t choose anymore. I combine.

I haven’t abandoned coaching. I’ve expanded it.

Today, I support businesses with a triple-pronged approach:

✔️ People (listening, team dynamics, purpose)
✔️ Structure (organization, rituals, priorities)
✔️ Technology (automation, applied AI, right-fit tools)

👉 My goal: help those who want to work better — not necessarily harder.

And it works. Because progress doesn’t just come from ideas. It comes from the ability to make them real, with the right tools.

Conclusion: The winning trio for SMEs in 2025? People + structure + automation

🚨 I’m convinced that the SMEs who will thrive in the coming months are those who can blend these three dimensions:

  • The power of smart tools,
  • The clarity of thoughtful structure,
  • And the value of human-centered work.

👉 What about you? Have you explored automation in your organization?

Curious, skeptical, or already convinced? Let’s talk.
